About me
Hello everyone,
My name is Alireza. If you are wondering what it means, it's a combination of two arabic names (i.e. Ali and Reza). Ali means noble and Reza means satisfaction. Although my name is a combination of two arabic names, it is commonly used by Iranians. Needless to mention that I am a VERY PROUD Iranian.
I am a PhD student in the Computer Science Department at the University of Denver. Professor Anneliese Andrews is my adviser and my research field is Software engineering with concentration on Analysis and Testing of UML designs. Before coming to DU, I was a Master's Student at University of Texas at Dallas. I have a lot of good memories from Texas and I am so grateful to my adviser Dr. Ravi Prakash for that. I learned a lot from him and I enjoyed working with him.
I finished my undergraduate study back home. I have a bachelor's degree in Computer engineering from Sharif University of Technology. My undergrad thesis title was: "Compressing the web graph" (which I co-authored with my Greatest friend Hamid Khalili) and My adviser was Professor Mohammad Ghodsi.
Apart from my great adviser and my friends here at DU, I have the great opportunity of living close to my beloved aunt and uncle. Colorado is a beautiful state (at least better than texas ;-) ) and you will always find something to do during your spare time like coming to department every weekend (JOKING!). Anyway, that's all I could think of telling you about my self. If you have any questions or want to get to know me better you can either Email me at: mahdian at ieee dot org or you can hope that I appear in your dream and answer your questions there. Personally I prefer the first one.
Thanks for visiting my home page.
Alireza
