I am interested in the design and implementation of operating
systems. My research involves investigating ways to acurately measure
and characterize the performance of soft real-time application workloads
(e.g. multimedia and virtual environments) executing on real-time
operating systems to determine what operating system subsystem
(i.e. memory, I/O, file systems, etc.) abstractionsand /or mechanisms need
to be invented or modified to make the operating system more efficient
and responsive for soft real-time application workloads.
